Heparin-binding growth-associated molecule (HB-GAM) is a cell surface-and extracellular
matrix-associated protein that lines developing axons in vivo and promotes neurite
outgrowth in vitro. Because N-syndecan (syndecan-3) was found to function as a receptor in
