In this present investigation, kinetic studies on oil extraction were performed in marine
macroalgae Ulva lactuca. The algal biomass was characterized by scanning electron
microscopy and Fourier Transform-Infra Red Spectroscopy. Six different pre-treatment
methods were carried out to evaluate the best method for maximum oil extraction.
