The overall performance of pile-restrained flexible floating breakwaters is investigated under
the action of linear monochromatic incident waves in the frequency domain. The
aforementioned floating breakwaters undergo only vertical structural deflections along their
length and are held in place by means of vertical piles. The total number of degrees of
