This study aims to obtain data that analyzes: 1) Factors influencing changes in the livelihoods of the people of Ruamongan Hamlet, Taikako Village, Sikakap District, Mentawai Islands Regency, 2) The problem of changing livelihoods for the people of Ruamonga Hamlet, Taikako Village, Sikakap District, Mentawai Islands Regency, 3) Income the people of Dusun Ruamonga after changing their livelihood from fishermen to farmers. This type of research is qualitative. This research was conducted in Ruamonga Hamlet, Taikako Village, Mentawai Islands Regency. The research informants were taken by using the Snowball Sampling of the Village Head as Key Informants. Data analysis was carried out by reducing, presenting and drawing conclusions. The results showed: 1) Factors influencing changes in the livelihoods of the people of Ruamonga Hamlet, Taikako Village, Sikakap District, Mentawai Islands Regency. These are natural disaster factors such as the Earthquake and Tsunami, lack of income, lack of government attention to fishermen in Ruamoga Hamlet, Taikako Village, results that are not in accordance with fishing gear expenditure catches, getting older age, and climatic factors such as waves, wind, storm and rain. 2) The problem of change that is obtained by the people of Dusun Ruamonga is that there are still many narrow lands to open new plantations such as banana plantations, this is because the population is increasing over time because of the large number of people who come to live in these locations so that there is a shrinkage of farming land for non-agricultural purposes. agriculture, the limitations of technology that are expected by the people of Rasponga hamlet from the local government, especially
