Structural phase transition and Néel temperature (TN) enhancement were observed in Cr-
substituted Mn 3 O 4 spinels. Structural, magnetic, and dielectric properties of (Mn 1− x Cr x)
3 O 4 (where x= 0.00, 0.10, 0.20, 0.25, 0.30, 0.40, and 0.50) were investigated. Cr-
substitution induces room temperature structural phase transition from tetragonally distorted
I4 1/amd (x= 0.00) to cubic Fd 3 m (x= 0.50). TN is found to increase from 43 K (x= 0.00) to
