Abstract
This paper titled" Consumerism, Mass Culture and Globalization" examines the advancement of pop workmanship around the 1960s in America and its uncritical acknowledgement of the commodification of craftsmanship. 1960 was an imperative decade for Europe and America. It was a period when" the guarantee of boundless bounty, political security, and new innovative outskirts of the Kennedy years"(Hyussen 223) was before long broken by rising social and political clash. The contention was shown in the social liberties development, in the urban mobs and in the counter war development. Amidst such social turmoil, one sees the development of a dissenting culture that embraces the mark counter-culture', hence anticipating a picture of a vanguard driving the method for an elective perspective of society. Along these lines, the workmanship scene of the 1960s in America seems promising and lively, arranged so to speak, in a politically unpredictable setting. The supporters of counter-culture likewise guaranteed they had supplanted the overwhelming political intentions of 1950's McCarthyism. This culture, commonly like all mass culture developments, endeavoured to cross over any barrier among workmanship and crowd. As a result, it took after the cutting edge by endeavouring to break the partition between regulated craftsmanship and the majority.
