Fifty respondents were selected from the Gadchiroli district (Maharashtra) in India in 1999 to determine the utilization of various communication media as the sources of technical information among local tribal dairy farmers. The results revealed that mass media, viz., posters, radio, television, group media, viz. meetings and individual media, viz. Livestock Development Officer (LDO) friends, relatives and progressive farmers were the different sources of technical information about breeding, feeding, animal health care, management and fodder production for tribal dairy farmers.
