Ovine psoroptic mange (sheep scab) is a debilitating and damaging condition caused by a
hypersensitivity reaction to the faecal material of the parasitic mite Psoroptes ovis. Farmers
incur costs from the use of prophylactic acaricides and, if their sheep become infected, they
