Triaxial induction measurements were originally designed for the evaluation of resistivity
anisotropy in vertical and medium-to low-deviation wells. Because of measurement
complexity and difficulties in handling the large amount of data acquired, interpretation is
based on model-based inversion to determine a 1D anisotropic resistivity profile and
formation dip and azimuth. More recently, these measurements have been used for fracture
