This report describes the extent and severity of eye injuries among participants of a foam
party at a night club in Collier County, Florida, USA, from the evening of 25 May through the
morning of 26 May 2012. A total of 56 persons with eye injury were identified out of
approximately 350 persons thought to have attended the party. Thus, an estimated 16% of
attendees suffered eye injuries as a result of this event, and 43 (76.8%) of them received
medical care. In all cases, injured persons reported getting foam in their face, with 96%(n …
