Left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) is a major risk factor for cardiovascular morbidity in
hypertensive patients. The effects of diuretics on LVH have raised controversies, but recent
studies suggest that diuretics are able to reduce LVH in hypertensive patients, mainly
