Background Expanded polytetrafluoroethylene sheets have been successfully used as a
biologic barrier in the treatment of pacemaker contact dermatitis. Technique In this report, we
describe two patients with contact dermatitis related to the implantable pulse generator of a
spinal cord stimulator who were treated with expanded polytetrafluoroethylene as a barrier.
RESULTS Resolution of the dermatitis was achieved in both cases. Conclusions This
